The aim of one or more courses at the B.Brother surf school is autonomy. After a certain number of sessions supervised by an instructor, you'll be able to surf spots on your own. The basics are as follows:
1 - The rules of conviviality and priorities:
BASIC RULES: 1 WAVE, 1 SURFER
The surfer furthest inside the break has priority
Don't ride a wave if there's someone in front of you.
Respect bathing areas:
2 - Safety rules:
Use a foam board if you don't feel able to control your direction well enough.
Don't surf in the waves
Protect your head in case of a fall
Don't let go of your board to go under a wave if a surfer is behind you.
3 - Surf smart:
Choose waves and spots suited to your level: the beaches of Pors carn, La Torche and Tronoën, located within a short radius, have different wave exposures and varied surfing conditions. The choice is yours!
Choose uncrowded spots so as not to get in the way of others: on the long beaches of the Bay of Audierne, there's always a good wave to surf for those who know how to find them!
