THE BENEFITS OF B.BROTHER
THE ADVANTAGES OF A SMALL-SCALE STRUCTURE
B.Brother Surf School is designed and organized as a small-scale structure.
The primary goal is to maintain flexibility for surf lesson schedules. The influence of tides, in particular, can lead to poorer wave conditions at certain times of the day. Surf lessons are always scheduled at high tide or near high tide. As a result, B.Brother Surf School only offers lesson slots during part of the day to ensure optimal practice conditions. When the tide allows, lessons are preferably held in the morning, as thermal winds during the summer season are favorable for waves in the first half of the day. However, lessons can also be scheduled in the afternoon, depending on specific tide configurations.
Another advantage of a small surf school is that there is no instructor turnover. Kevin, Stephen, and Mathieu are the school’s dedicated instructors. You’ll see them every year. From April to November, they are consistently present and ready to guide you on the playgrounds of Pors Carn and La Torche. From a pedagogical perspective, this setup makes it easier for instructors to track the progress of their students over several years.
Kevin, Stephen, and Mathieu have taught at various structures before creating “B.Brother.” This choice of a human-scale organization is based on their respective experiences. The “connection” with those who come to learn surfing is central and remains the driving force behind their motivation to continue the surf school adventure.
